Support Feeding Hong Kong’s Annual Fish-Themed Food Drive and Celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival with Nutritious Canned Fish Meals for All! Our annual fish-themed food drive is going to raise extra donations of nutrient-packed canned fish. Provide a convenient and nutritious meal for people of all ages and backgrounds.
Help us fill a grocery bag with nutritions and and we’ll make sure they are delivered to the door of the charities helping to feed those in need in our community.
Why canned fish?
Seafood is loaded with nutrients that are good for our health. Canned fish, such as sardines, mackerel and tuna, are a great source of protein, vitamin B12 and selenium. They are also rich in omega-3 fatty acids known to boost memory and heart health. Whilst fresh is best, canned fish is shelf-stable, cost-efficient and nutrient packed – a great option for low-income families and seniors.
Other canned items like meat, vegetables, and fruit are also in high demand!
What can you do?
- Donate before June 30, 2023
- Drop your donation at one of the food collection points listed below.
- Set up a central collection area in your office, school, clubhouse or community centre and watch over the donations as they roll in! At the end of your food drive, give us a call to schedule a delivery to our warehouse.
Things to note: FOOD SAFETY FIRST! We are not able to use:
- Rusty or unlabelled cans / Perishable items
- Open or used items / Expired items

There are many other ways you can help this Dragon Boat Festival! For a donation of HKD100, you can help provide 10 meals to the community during the festival and ensure that those in need have access to nutritious food during this special time. Donate online, via AliPay or PayMe.
You can also share the festive joy by donating rice dumpling vouchers on or before June 12, 2023. Feeding Hong Kong will deliver these vouchers to our partner charities before the festival and share to those in need.
