Mooncake Madness 2026
Mooncakes. Wanted, not wasted. Give them a second chance!
As the Mid-Autumn Festival approaches, it can be hard to eat all those mooncakes no matter how much you love them!
Surveys estimate up to 2.8 million mooncakes go uneaten in Hong Kong households each year—a staggering seasonal surplus that too often ends up in landfills. Help spread some Mid-Autumn joy by saving thousands of mooncakes from going to waste and treating our vulnerable communities instead.
Donate mooncakes
Drop off your surplus mooncakes to our community collection points across the city. In turn, we will share the mooncakes with frontline charities, on or before the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Donate mooncakes NOW until Friday 18 September 2026 so they can be redistributed in time
Donate gift vouchers
We also welcome surplus Gift Vouchers over the Festival period, which in turn will be shared with our beneficiary charities. Please deliver these directly to the our office address, at least 10 days before they expire:

Donation guidelines
We accept mooncake donations that are:
- Non-perishable and can be stored at room temperature
- In original, unopened packaging
- With a clearly stated best before or use by date and manufacturer
For Food Businesses & Retailers:
Surplus stock? We accept commercial donations by the case and pallet-load. Contact our team to discuss a bulk donation. We accept bulk donations before, during and after the festival.

Support our Mid-Autumn Meal Parcel programme
Every HK$150 will support the delivery of one parcel, which includes a selection of shelf-stable foods, such as rice, noodles and canned goods, plus some tasty mooncake treats, all delivered in an eco-friendly shopping bag.
