Powering the future: Our new food bank is open!
For 15 years, Feeding Hong Kong has bridged the gap between surplus quality food and local charities, turning excess inventory into millions of meals for vulnerable communities across our city. To meet the rising demand across our partner network, we have taken a bold step forward: relocating to a larger, purpose-built facility in Kwai Chung.
Our new home represents a major leap forward in our mission to bridge the gap between food waste and food need. By expanding our footprint in Hong Kong’s primary logistics hub, we can streamline our supply chain, process donations faster and scale our network to reach more families in need than ever before.
Our new home is designed to scale our impact for the next decade and beyond:
Tripled cold storage and doubled ambient storage to rescue and deliver more surplus food and essential staples.
Expanded capacity to welcome up to 60 volunteers per shift.
New community spaces, including a Community Lounge (later in 2026) and an Educational Hub (opening 2027).
Location & Hours
We are excited to welcome visitors, volunteers, donors and charity partners to our new location! Please note that our former Yau Tong facility is now closed, and all operations, drop-offs and volunteer shifts take place at Kwai Chung.

Powering the backbone of our new food bank
Moving into a larger facility doubles our storage capacity, but scaling our daily impact requires community support. Every dollar contributed to our Foundation Fund directly powers the food rescue operations, cold storage maintenance and delivery logistics needed to feed thousands of Hong Kong families every week.
