Mooncakes. Wanted, not wasted. Give them a second chance!

As the Mid-Autumn Festival approaches, it can be hard to eat all those mooncakes no matter how much you love them!

It is estimated that over 3.2 million pieces of mooncake were wasted last year, so help spread some Mid-Autumn Festival joy in 2025 by saving thousands of mooncakes from going to landfill and treating our vulnerable communities instead. 

 

Donate mooncakes

Drop off your surplus mooncakes to our community collection points across the city.  In turn, we will share the mooncakes with frontline charities, on or before the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Donate mooncakes NOW until Friday 26 September 2025 so they can be redistributed in time

Donate gift vouchers

We also welcome surplus Gift Vouchers over the Festival period, which in turn will be shared with our beneficiary charities. Please deliver these directly to the our office address, at least 10 days before they expire:

Donation guidelines

We accept mooncake donations that are:

  1. Non-perishable and can be stored at room temperature 
  2. In original, unopened packaging 
  3. With a clearly stated best before or use by date and manufacturer

Support our Mid-Autumn Meal Parcel programme  

Every HK$175 will support the delivery of one parcel, which includes a selection of shelf-stable foods, such as rice, noodles and canned goods, enough for 20 meals, plus some tasty mooncake treats, all delivered in an eco-friendly shopping bag.
