The drums are pounding, the flags are flying, and teams are training hard for Hong Kong’s spectacular Dragon Boat Festival. But while we cheer on the paddlers, many vulnerable families across our city are facing a different kind of challenge—getting enough balanced food to stay strong and healthy. 

That’s why Feeding Hong Kong is calling on you to launch a Dragon Drive – a team-powered food collection with a twist.

Instead of paddles, we’re asking for cans. And instead of a trophy, the prize is a balanced, nourishing meal for someone who needs it most.

Canned foods are unsung heroes!

Donate your surplus canned food at our community collection points across the city, or directly to our warehouse in Yau Tong. We’ll share them with frontline charities to support families in need. Canned food is long-lasting, nourishing, and balanced – helping to create wholesome meals.

Donate canned food NOW until Monday 22 June 2026 so they can be redistributed in time

We accept canned food donations that are:

  1. Non-perishable and can be stored at room temperature 
  2. In original, unopened packaging 
  3. With a clearly stated best before or use by date and manufacturer
