Alex Ho is the Chief Executive Officer of Feeding Hong Kong. He joined the team in October 2021, taking over the helm from our founder Gabrielle Kirstein. As the leader of Feeding Hong Kong, Alex is responsible for the strategic direction and implementation of sustainable plans to meet our mission: to save surplus food and feed people in need. He also spearheads our drive to enhance operational efficiency in food collection and distribution, and our “food wanted, not wasted” educational initiatives in corporations and schools.

Before joining Feeding Hong Kong, Alex worked for the South China Morning Post, lastly as Vice President. During his 14 years in SCMP, he headed different functions, including student engagement, circulation, recruitment, commercial printing and licensing. Before SCMP, he held senior positions at Campbell Soup, Philip Morris and Melitta Coffee.

Looking ahead, Alex is excited to lead the Feeding Hong Kong team and this special platform, which was created by Gabrielle in 2011, to even greater heights. With his experience and network, he will further deepen Feeding Hong Kong in its mission and affinity with food donors, frontline charities, community partners and volunteers. By virtue of such, Alex is committed to contributing back to the community where he was born and raised.

Alex holds an MBA degree from the University of Strathclyde and is a graduate of Management Studies at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He shares his experience as a mentor with the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and serves as a founding member of the alumni committee of his junior school. Besides work, he loves to spend time with his family and enjoys racquet and water sports.
