Communications and Marketing Officer
The Communications and Marketing Officer will play a vital role in supporting Feeding Hong Kong’s communications strategy and fundraising efforts. This position involves supporting our marketing initiatives and events, assisting with fundraising activities and fostering relationships with our donors and partners. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about our mission to save food and deliver food security.

Key Responsibilities
Communications and Marketing
- Support the creation and distribution of content for social media, newsletters and the website.
- Support with media enquiries and outreach.
- Assist in the translation of materials.
- Prepare promotional materials for events and initiatives.
- Prepare monthly reports on communication and fundraising activities and outcomes.
Event Support
- Help organise and coordinate activities to raise funds and awareness e.g. talks, booths, festive campaigns.
- Provide on-site support during events, ensuring smooth execution and engagement.
- Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to maximise event impact.
- Support with volunteer activities for key partners and donors.
Partnerships and Fundraising
- Assist in the development and implementation of fundraising activities including grants, events and campaigns.
- Support the preparation of proposals, presentations and reports.
- Maintain accurate records of donor and partner information, and fundraising activities.
- Track and monitor grant deadlines, deliverables, and reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to gather data and insights for reporting and storytelling.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
- Speak and write fluent English and Cantonese.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in communications, fundraising or partner management preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills and experience using CRM platforms; knowledge of Salesforce and Canva a plus.
- Proficiency in social media platforms and content creation.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, multi-cultural environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Part-time Programme Coordinator
The Part-time Programme Coordinator will involve in coordinating Feeding Hong Kong (FHK)’s volunteer activities during weekdays or weekends. This position will be the face of FHK, and a regular point of contact with volunteers. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about our mission to save food and deliver food security.

Key Responsibilities
Volunteer programme
- Assist in setting up venue for the volunteer activities or events;
- Answer the door and greet all volunteers to the Feeding Hong Kong office;
- Handling logistics to make the event possible, such as making phone calls, training and motivating volunteers, and coordinating transportation;
- Lead volunteer briefings, debriefing and tours;
- Monitor the volunteer activities process and ensure the activities are running smoothly and safely;
- Observe participants at the activities / events gauge their enjoyment and obtain their feedback to improve events;
- Ensure all key activities and milestones per session are met;
- Maintain excellent relations and communications with volunteers, staff and FHK partners;
- Promote volunteering both internally and externally;
- Ensure that policies and procedures are followed, in line with the volunteer programme manual.
Bread Run programme
- Support the programme to ensure the proper handling and distribution of food donations;
- Set up the venue and prepare materials for evening activities, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards;
- Act as the main point of contact for on-the-night inquiries from volunteers, food donors, and logistic partners;
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports of inventory at the end of each night;
- Provide support for other ad-hoc duties as required.
Health & Safety
- Adhere and enforce all health, warehouse safety and food safety procedures and guidelines.
Experience, skills and knowledge
General
- Welcome undegradute or graduate students;
- Written and spoken Chinese (Cantonese) and English (fluency in both);
- To be fully committed to the mission of FHK to reduce food waste, feed charities and drive change.
Experience of:
- Coordinating and/or managing activities or events is a plus;
- Establishing and building relationships with external organisations.
Able to:
- Communicate effectively in a range of forms and demonstrate excellent presentation skills;
- Enthuse and motivate individuals and groups;
- Work independently and with diverse groups of people;
- Drive, influence and negotiate to achieve the desired outcome;
- Display high level of initiative, problem solving and decision-making;

Working Hours & Salary
- Weekday 13:30 – 17:30; or
- Tuesday and Thursday 18:00 – 23:00;
- Except public holidays;
- $72 per hour.

Community Engagement Support Intern
Support our Community Engagement team to ensure the smooth running of our volunteer and education activities

- Answer the door and greet all visitors and volunteers to the Feeding Hong Kong office;

- Support with other ad-hoc tasks as required.
Requirements
- Confident communicator in Chinese and English;
- Passionate ambassador for environmental and social issues
Strong multi-tasker; - Proficiency in MS Office;
- Experience using design software desirable.

Ideally 1-2 full days a week during term time but can be flexible to fit in with university studies or
2-month full time during summer / 1-month full time during winter break.
Food Sourcing Intern
Support our Food Sourcing team to develop and expand our food donor network

- Provide admin support to the Food Sourcing Team;
- Approach new food donors and prepare pitching materials;
- Assist in food donation reports and analysis;
- Provide support in food industry research;
- Support retail surplus collections;
- Assist in food exhibitions or events if necessary;
- Support with other ad-hoc projects as required.
Requirements
- Open to undergraduate student who is passionate about environmental and social issues;
- Pay close attention to detail and accuracy;
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills;
- Interact with a range of different people, confidently and pleasantly.
- Work independently with little supervision;
- Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Word.
Working day
- Ideally 2-3 full days a week during term time but can be flexible to fit in with university studies or
- 2-month full time during summer / 1-month full time during winter break.
