Drive one of our vans and help get food from companies with surplus to charities supporting vulnerable people. Drivers need to be over 25 years old and hold a full, clean Hong Kong driving licence.
What will I be doing:
Drop off weekly orders of food at local charities and collect surplus from local food businesses with the help of a Driver’s Assistant
Work with other volunteers to load and unload the van at the FHK Foodbank
Working day:
Mon – Fri
Half day shift (am/pm) or full day shift
Requirements:
Aged at least 25 years old
Hold a valid class 2 driver’s license (light goods vehicle) and possess at least 3 years of driving experience
A clean driver’s record and driving test is required
Able to perform physical tasks including lifting and loading
Positive, friendly and personable – able to interact well with our food donors and charity partners
Adaptable – the amount of surplus is unpredictable so driving routes and daily tasks can vary
