Project Executive

Support our food programs and projects in planning, coordination, implementation, and development, working closely with key stakeholders.

Job purpose

  • To work closely with key stakeholders to plan, organise and implement FHK food programmes and projects;

  • To support food programmes / projects and conduct needs and outcome assessment to measure and enhance programme relevance and effectiveness to bring about quality service and standards;

  • To support new food programme and project development.

Key responsibilities

Programmes and project

  • Plan, organise and execute food programmes or projects, including ensure smooth operations, food safety, update system data, volunteer training, communications and oversee related administration;

  • Support the Projects Director in the development of FHK food programmes and projects to optimise food sharing across the 18 districts;

  • Coordinate efforts to draft, update and maintain internal and external materials for project team (e.g., reports, promotional pdfs, PowerPoint slides, posters, etc.).

  • Support and maintain data collection, analyse data and share reports internally and externally on a regular basis to support management decision;

  • Support the Projects Director to conduct periodic needs and outcome assessment to evaluate      the effectiveness and relevance of key programmes;

  • Support the Projects Director with streamlining operations and processes and make  adjustments and enhancements in current food programme processes to improve effectiveness;

  • Represent FHK at relevant internal and external events; appropriately and collaboratively engage industry to support our work;

  • Respond to requests for information on FHK Food Programmes.

  • Source, evaluate and negotiate with food suppliers to procure food items to support FHK programmes.

  • Plan and monitor food supplies and delivery. Conduct quality inspection and handle delivery problems.

  • Verify invoice for Finance team for payment process.

  • Introduce FHK to volunteers and conduct briefing for group volunteer activities to support FHK operation.

  • Support food programme logistics, including direct pick-ups, purchase delivery and oversea shipments etc.

Other

  • Assist with other activities of the organisation as required;

  • Assist with other admin and support tasks as requested.

Accountabilities

  • Be accountable and report to the Projects Director.

  • Work with volunteers and interns when needed.

Experience, skills and knowledge

General

  • Fluent written and spoken Chinese (Cantonese) and English;

  • Communicate effectively in a range of forms and demonstrate excellent presentation skills;

  • Good numerical and critical thinking skills;

  • Work experience in food industry, supply chain, warehouse, transportation or comparable experience in food-related business environment is a plus;

  • To be fully committed to the mission of FHK to reduce food waste, feed charities and drive change.

Able to:

  • Establish strong working relationships with Feeding Hong Kong stakeholders;

  • Write persuasively and for different audiences;

  • Work independently and with diverse groups of people;

  • Drive, influence and negotiate to achieve the desired outcome;

  • Display high level of initiative, problem solving and decision-making;

  • Work flexibly including evenings and weekends;

  • Work unsupervised and organise a demanding workload;

  • Juggle multiple priorities and to deliver under pressure;

  • Work accurately, paying close attention to detail;

Knowledge of:

  • Strong computer skills e.g. Microsoft Office.

  • Salesforce system
