認識與樂餉社合作的前線慈善機構

我們為本地多間前線慈善機構和社區團體提供食物援助，包括長者中心、庇護中心、中央廚房、課後活動、社區食物銀行和其他非牟利社區項目。去年，我們與她們合作為弱勢社群支援了超個200萬餐膳食。

機構背景

自強栛會是一間位於九龍灣的小型慈善機構，為身體嚴重殘障，尤其因脊髓受傷引致身體殘障者提供廣泛的復康及續顧服務，約有800名會員。他們協助工傷者或其他意外的傷者謀取合理賠償，並提供醫學知識、法律支援和社會服務等專業信息，協助他們及其家人適應創傷性的轉變。該機構亦旨在推行職業安全的公共教育。 他們於2018年成為樂餉社的慈善合作夥伴。

關愛動員位於西灣河，主要透過其外展計劃及恩典之家為港島東提供廣泛的社區服務。他們的外展計劃向無家者、新移民、單親父母和其他有需要人士派發飯盒。恩典之家既是一個收集食糧、有機蔬菜和捐贈品以供日常分發的服務站，亦是舉行聚會、長者午餐會、補習班以至免費理髮的地方。機構的使命是以愛與憐憫服侍任何種族、國籍、宗教、年齡或狀況的有需要人士。樂餉社自2012年為其食物銀行提供補給，從未間斷。

方舟協會是一所位於香港仔的基督教組織，其Fishermen & Migrant Workers Food Sharing Programme，為漁民家庭、中國移民工和港島南的長者提供家庭支援和長者服務。他們派發食物包、小食和輕食，並舉辦兒童英語班。機構的使命是透過分享、服務和培訓，引領更多的人認識上帝。該會建基於香港仔，自2014年已是樂餉社的慈善合作夥伴。

Asian Baptist Women’s Fellowship在灣仔成立Care and Share Homely Shelter，為危難中婦女，特別是弱勢少數族裔婦女提供安全的處所，給予她們情緒支援、鼓勵和基本勞工權利的建議，及有助她們全面參與和融入社會的實用技巧。婦女除獲贈熱飯餐、小食和輕食外，更可透過烹飪、烘焙和裁縫技術等實用課程，學習一技之長。該機構自2017年已是樂餉社的慈善合作夥伴。

浸信會愛羣社會服務處於2009年創辦「開飯」服務，在午膳及晚膳時段為貧困兒童、低收入家庭、在職貧窮者和單親父母等提供廉價膳食。他們設有六個熱食飯堂，包括三個服務成年人的午善滙熱食飯堂和三個服務小學生及其直系家屬的童心飯堂，同時提供職業諮詢、就業轉介、情緒輔導、親子活動及朋輩支援小組。飯堂分別位於荃灣、旺角、油麻地和灣仔。樂餉社自2019年與此慈善機構合作無間。

The Baptist Oi Kwan Social Service has been running the Integrated Employment Assistance Programme for Self-Reliance (IEAPS) since 2008. The programme aims to assist able-bodied CSSA applicants living in the Yau Tsim Mong district to overcome work barriers and enhance their employability. By providing a range of one-stop integrated employment assistance services on a family basis, they hope to help people in the community find paid employment as soon as possible. They also have a food donation service and have been a Charity Partner of FHK since 2017.

Branches of Hope Limited is a charity based in Wan Chai serving refugees with a mission to restore dignity, justice and hope to the vulnerable and marginalised in Hong Kong. The charity offers relief in the form of financial assistance, education, healthcare services, counselling and legal referrals. It runs summer school programmes and distributes meals and refreshments to children and their parents. It also provides educational support such as English and Cantonese, basic computer skills and tutoring to both adult and child refugees. Branches of Hope have been a FHK Charity Partner since 2017.

The Caritas Community Centre in Tsuen Wan has provided a comprehensive range of services in the community since 1987. In response to Hong Kong’s changing needs, they extended their services to help new immigrants and ethnic minorities, and offer a wide range of services including food parcels, food vouchers, home visits, family support services, senior services, education, medical care and community development. The centre became a FHK Charity Partner in 2019.

Caritas–Hong Kong, the official social service agency of the Catholic Church in Hong Kong, was established over 65 years ago. The Caritas Community Centre in Aberdeen provides integrated services for underprivileged and vulnerable people mainly in Hong Kong’s southern district. Their services support families, seniors, new immigrants, and ethnic minorities as well as running youth and after-school education programmes. They have been a FHK Charity Partner since 2013.

Changing Young Lives Foundation is dedicated to rewriting the life stories of thousands of underprivileged children and marginalised youth in Hong Kong and the Mainland every year by providing them with free centre-based and outreach programs in education, talent development and self-empowerment. Their spacious Shek Kip Mei Learning Centre provides a home away from home for many children, and gives them the opportunity to learn English, computer skills, and arts and crafts and well as the use of a gym, dance studio and home economics room. They have been a FHK Charity Partner since 2014.

The Christian & Missionary Alliance Grace & Joy Church has been serving the North Point community since 2003 with the Love Food Bank. Their mission is to love their neighbour and be a community-based missionary church. They provide food parcels, vouchers and snacks as well as offering an after-school educational programme. FHK has been supporting their food bank service since 2013.

Christian Action’s mission is to serve disadvantaged, marginalized, displaced or abandoned individuals, giving them hope, dignity and self-reliance. The Migrant Domestic Workers Programme runs two shelters in To Kwa Wan, helping mainly Filipino and Indonesian workers, educating them of their basic rights and the different kinds of labour protection available to them. Their service centres also provide emergency assistance and shelter as well as psychological counselling and support. They have been a FHK Charity Partner since 2012.

Christian Action’s mission is to serve those who are disadvantaged, marginalised, displaced or abandoned individuals, giving them hope, dignity and self-reliance. In 2003, they opened Hong Kong’s first service centre to provide immediate assistance to refugees and asylum seekers. The Chunking Mansions Centre assists refugees with essential humanitarian needs such as food, clothing and shelter and is also an important source of educational, recreational and psycho social support. They have been a FHK Charity Partner since 2012.

Christian Action’s mission is to serve those who are disadvantaged, marginalised, displaced or abandoned individuals, giving them hope, dignity and self-reliance. Their Integrated Service For New Arrivals runs two service centres in Mong Kok and Sheung Shui, offering food programmes, new arrivals induction classes, women’s groups, consultation and counselling, after-school child care and classes, as well as recreational, community and volunteer activities. With their help, new arrivals and students are better equipped to overcome the barriers in their livers and integrate into society. They have been a FHK Charity Partner since 2012.

The Christian Church of Divine Providence in Kwun Tong, runs a Food Bank Service to help feed the elderly at nearby public housing estates in the Kwun Tong district. They are supported by church resources and the St. James People’s Food Bank. They also offer comprehensive services to help the community such as women’s groups, a Self-Study Centre, counselling, and general community services. Their vision is to bring the community together to help one another and build a brighter future. FHK have been partnering with them since 2012.

The Christian Concern for the Homeless Association aims to ensure that the basic needs of the homeless are fulfilled and rebuild their self-esteem, social networks and family relationships. They provide a very low-cost lunch for the service-users in the centre and dinner for people living in their transit hostel. The purpose of the charge is to subsidise the food expense and educate the homeless. They have been a FHK Charity Partner since 2012.

CNEC Lau Wing Sang Secondary School, located in Chai Wan, is a government subvented school, with over one-third of students coming from deprived and underprivileged families, many qualifying for the government textbook assistance scheme. The school’s mission is to promote their student’s spiritual, moral, intellectual, physical, and social growth on the basis of all-round Christian education. A range of academic and social programmes, along with other extra-curricular activities, are provided to both students and parents. They have been a FHK Charity Partner since early 2019.

Concern For Grassroot’s Livelihood Alliance Limited is located in Prince Edward. Their mission is to help people help themselves and fight for social justice. By connecting with different communities and voicing their needs, they work towards a fairer social security system in HK. They provide tailor-made programmes and workshops, establishing mutually beneficial community networks and providing training to grassroots people to enhance their self-sustainability. They have been a FHK Charity Partner since 2016.

The Cornerstone International Church of God Hong Kong serves largely migrant workers in the community. They are based in Tai Kok Tsui and support mostly Filipino and Indonesian domestic helpers, elderly Chinese and other minorities with a youth programme, after-schooland/ education programmes, family support services, and new immigrant services. They have been a FHK Charity Partner since 2012.

The Crossroads Foundation, located in Tuen Mun, is a non-profit organisation which connects those with resources and those who need help. They do this through collecting quality excess and second-hand goods within Hong Kong, refurbishing them if necessary, and then distributing them to those in need within Hong Kong and internationally. In Hong Kong, they actively support the Social Welfare Department and a wide range of NGOs in providing help to individuals and families living in vulnerable circumstances. They have been a FHK Charity Partner since 2014.

The Diocesan Pastoral Centre for Filipinos in Central offers support and shelter to Filipino and other migrant workers, mostly domestic helpers. The Centre offers many services, including legal consulting, counselling, visiting the imprisoned and the sick, educational workshops and outreach services. It also offers accommodation in case of emergency. They have been a FHK Charity Partner since 2012.

Evangel Children’s Home is a Residential Care Home in Wong Tai Sin serving 100 children and teenagers from broken and difficult families. The Home supports them and offers a safe space where they can learn to grow maturely in all aspects of their life, with the hope that they will be able to integrate into society and build healthy relationships with their families. They have been a FHK Charity Partner since 2012.

The Evangelical Lutheran Church Social Service Hong Kong (ELCHK) operates over 50 centres across Hong Kong providing integrated social services to grassroots and vulnerable groups including the elderly, children, adolescents, families, schools and the unemployed. Their Communion Lutheran Elderly Health Centre in Kwu Tung cares for the social and spiritual needs of the elderly by organising various workshops and activities, and establishing a network of supporting services for them. They have been a FHK Charity Partner since 2016.

The Evangelical Lutheran Church Social Service Hong Kong (ELCHK) operates over 50 centres across Hong Kong providing integrated social services to grassroots and vulnerable groups including the elderly, children, adolescents, families, schools and the unemployed. Their Ma On Shan District Elderly Community Centre has built up a wide network with other service units in different sectors within the district and assists the elders to actively participate in the community and lead a healthy, respected and dignified life. They have been a FHK Charity Partner since 2016.

The Evangelical Lutheran Church Social Service Hong Kong (ELCHK) operates over 50 centres across Hong Kong providing integrated social services to grassroots and vulnerable groups including the elderly, children, adolescents, families, schools and the unemployed. The Fung Yat Social Service Centre in Kwai Chung provides career training to the unemployed, school dropouts and unskilled workers. They have been a FHK Charity Partner since 2016.

The Evangelical Lutheran Church Social Service Hong Kong (ELCHK) operates over 50 centres across Hong Kong providing integrated social services to grassroots and vulnerable groups including the elderly, children, adolescents, families, schools and the unemployed. The Enlighten Centre in Tin Shui Wai was established to help combat the increasing trend of psychotropic substance abuse among teenagers. The centre aims to reshape the experience of youngsters and allow them to develop valuable lives on their own by providing diverse and quality social services through creativity and district networks. The centre also gives assistance to family members by mending their relationships and strengthening their determination for drug treatment. They have been a FHK Charity Partner since 2016.

The Evangelical Lutheran Church Social Service Hong Kong (ELCHK) operates over 50 centres across Hong Kong providing integrated social services to grassroots and vulnerable groups including the elderly, children, adolescents, families, schools and the unemployed. Their Community Centre for the Golden Aged in Shatin provides various developmental and support services for the elderly in the community. One of their objectives is to encourage the elderly to actively participate in lifelong learning, social and voluntary work, with the hope of enriching the quality of their lives through community involvement. Specialised healthcare and medical services are also provided through collaboration with multi-disciplinary professionals. They have been a FHK Charity Partner since 2016.

The Evangelical Lutheran Church Social Service Hong Kong (ELCHK) operates over 50 centres across Hong Kong providing integrated social services to grassroots and vulnerable groups including the elderly, children, adolescents, families, schools and the unemployed. Their Kwai Chung Neighbourhood Elderly Centre provides a valuable range of services in order to meet the social and personal care needs of the elderly in the community. They offer integrated services including health education, recreation, live-alone elderly support, counselling, carer support, and home visits along with some more innovative projects such “Life Story” and “Music for Heart”. They have been a FHK Charity Partner since 2016.

Ever Green Association (EGA) is a Hong Kong NGO, based in Wan Chai, working to promote the idea of a green community. They collect surplus food from wet markets and food manufacturers, and distribute to those in need. They have been working to promote waste recycling and environmental protection in the local community, advocating the importance of protecting the planet and reducing pollution. They have been a FHK Charity Partner since 2016.

Food Angel is a food rescue and food assistance program with the mission of “Waste Not, Hunger Not, With Love”. The program rescues edible surplus food from different sectors of the food industry that would otherwise be disposed of as waste. The rescued food is then prepared as nutritious hot meals in their Sham Shui Po and Chai Wan Central Kitchens and redistributed to serve the underprivileged communities in Hong Kong. They have been a FHK Charity Partner since 2013.

The Foodlink Foundation is a charity dedicated to fighting hunger, building self-sufficiency, and fostering nutritional wellness among those in need. By collecting surplus food from hotels and F&B outlets, they are also reducing food wastage in in Hong Kong and taking pressure off the city’s landfills. The safe-to-eat surplus food is collected and matched with the needs of nearby recipient charities. They have been a FHK Charity Partner since 2016.

Fresh Fish Traders’ School is a primary school located in Tai Kok Tsui They run a Breakfast Club and after-school programme for students. They have been a FKH Charity Partner since 2013.

Good Neighbourhood Volunteers is a charity based in Tsz Wan Shan in Kowloon. They support vulnerable people by building a close-knit community network, promoting positive values and helping people help themselves. They do this through organised food sharing programmes such as Meals for Life, home visits and language classes for seniors and low-income families in their community. They became a FHK Charity Partner in 2016.

Gracious Shepherd Christian Church runs a neighbourhood centre providing comprehensive services for families in the Tsing Yi area. They aim to identify and support families in need, offering, among others, food, child care, counselling, pyschological services and recreational activities. They became a FHK Charity Partner in 2020.

Greeners Action is a non-profit organisation dedicated to raising environmental awareness and advocating greener living. The run workshops, camps and programmes designed to educate the public about food waste, plastic pollution, and recycling. They run a Food Waste Reduction Campaign in Cheung Sha Wan and also organise a food sharing programme. They have been a FHK Charity Partner since 2015.

H.K.S.K.H Lady MacLehose Centre provides support for vulnerable people and low income families in the Tsuen Wan, Kwai Ching and Tsing Yi districts. They provide integrated services such as care and education, career development, community health and services for the elderly, as well as a Friday afternoon “Food Fair” programme. They became a FHK Charity Partner in 2020.

H.K.S.K.H Tung Chung Integrated Services joined the Feeding HK charity network in 2021. The charity provides multifaceted services to individuals across all ages and socioeconomic backgrounds in line with its service philsophy of Personalised Service and Holistic Care to Transform Lives.

Helping Hand is a charity that runs on the belief that senior citizens should be entitled to enjoy a rich and dignified life after years of contribution to society. Their objective is to meet the emerging housing, caring and other needs of our senior citizens as effectively as possible. At the Siu Sai Wan Jockey Club Housing for the Elderly they provide residential care services for elderly residents who are able to take care of themselves with minimum assistance. Two to four residents share a flat with cooking and bathing facilities. Each resident has a private area, bed, cabinet and wardrobe. The charity also supports seniors who are living in the community. They have been a FHK Charity Partner since 2014.

Two to four residents share a flat with cooking and bathing facilities. Each resident has a private area, bed, cabinet and wardrobe. The charity also supports seniors who are living in the community. They have been a FHK Charity Partner since 2014.

The Hong Kong Baptist Church Good Neighbour Chapel Family Services Centre serves people in need by helping them achieve family harmony and holistic care. They provide integrated community services in Central and Western districts. They became a FHK Charity Partner in 2018.

Home for Care for Girls operates two shelter homes, in Tsing Yi and Shatin, providing temporary housing and care for vulnerable teenage girls. Through the shelter, girls can experience compassion and the ability to live a stable life away from problematic family situations. They offer life skills training, referrals for the girls and their families to appropriate social services and counselling services, group activities to foster friendship and peer support. The Tsing Yi Shelter has been a FHK Charity Partner since 2016.

The Hong Fook Church Bradbury Community Health Development Centre located in Shatin serves their local community (mainly the Sha Kok Estate) by providing various talks, interest groups, home visits, a counselling service and a Food Bank service for families and seniors. Their aim is to promote and build a balanced healthy lifestyle and community networks among families, seniors and people in need. They have been a FHK Charity Partner since 2012.

A branch of the Hong Kong Christian Mutual Improvement Society, this centre provides services for the elderly and their carers in the community in Yau Tong. The centre’s objectives are:

– To encourage the elderly and community members to make good use if their leisure time, and realise their potential.
– To promote the healthy development of the body, mind, society, and spirit of the elderly.
– To support the elderly to solve difficulties in personal and family life.
– To provide community support for those who care for the elderly.
– To unite and help communities in the spirit of Christ’s love, peace, and friendship.

The Kowloon City Centre provides community care and support services for the elderly, disabled and their families living in the Kowloon City and To Kwa Wan districts. They became a FHK Charity Partner in 2020.

The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG) is the city’s largest youth service organisation and provides opportunities and facilities for the social, educational, cultural, emotional and physical development of young people. The Jockey Club Cheung Wah Youth S.P.O.T. in Fanling is one of the 22 integrated children and youth service centres of the HKFYG. These youth centres provide space and opportunity to learn and develop, offering tailor-made programmes in combination with other community based and educational services. They became a FHK Charity Partner in 2019.

The Hong Kong Lutheran Social Service (HKLSS) is one of the largest NGOs in Hong Kong with more than 60 service units across the territory. They offer services to all areas of society from small children, youths, elders, families, ethnic minorities and new immigrants. The “Community Development Division” is funded by the government and serves those neighbourhoods with insufficient welfare services and recreational facilities. The division has a team of over 30 people working primarily in the Northern New Territories aims through various programmes and workshops to develop a sense of belonging and community network amongst local residents. They have been a FHK Charity Partner since 2014.

The Hong Kong Lutheran Social Service (HKLSS) is one of the largest NGOs in Hong Kong with more than 60 service units across the territory. They offer services to all areas of society from small children, youths, elders, families, ethnic minorities and new immigrants. The Yau On Lutheran Centre for the Elderly in Tuen Mun provides support services by helping seniors settle and prolong their stay in the community, and providing best-matched supportive service for carers.

The Hong Kong New Immigrant Service Association is based in Cheung Sha Wan and offers services to new immigrants to help them stay in Hong Kong. The charity provides social services in the form of a food bank, home visits, caring and family support services, a hotline and counselling services. They also offer activities that help to create a better living environment and sense of home and family. They have been a FHK Charity Partner since 2012.

The Hong Kong Rugby Union is the governing body for rugby union in Hong Kong. Their Community Foundation (HKRUCF) was established in March 2013 with the aim of using rugby and the HKRU brand to bring about positive change within our community by tackling social issues. Every programme they support addresses at least one of the following 3 social issues: inclusive society, education and health. Their programmes are often youth based and include two charity programmes on Friday evenings at the King George V School pitch, Deaf Rugby, and a programme for youngsters from disadvantaged backgrounds through the HK Federation of Youth Groups. They became a FHK Charity Partner in 2017.

Hong Kong Society for the Protection of Children runs the Children and Family Services Centre in Sham Mong District. The Centre was opened on 2011 to provide comprehensive child-focused services and parent education to families with children aged 12 or below. The charity provides for and promotes the care, education and social development of children and families in partnership with the community. They have been a FHK Charity Partner since 2014.

The Hong Kong Women Development Association’s mission is to strengthen confidence, self-esteem, independence and self-enhancement among women, and works for the rights of women and children. They run the Rita Liu Tin Ching Multi-Services Centre, an integrated multi-services family centre offering youth and after school programmes, education, family support, senior and new immigrant services to the Tin Shui Wai community. They became a FHK Charity Partner in 2019.

ImpactHK is a charity dedicated to supporting the homeless in Hong Kong. They run events to perform good acts for individuals in need with 100% of everything raised going to the cause. Regular events include kindness walks, feeding the homeless, making and handing out pillows stuffed with recycled plastic bags, making and handing out mats made from recycled plastic bags, and seasonal projects to collect warm clothing and hand out holiday gifts. They became a FHK Charity Partner in 2019.

The Integrated Brilliant Education Trust Tutorial Centre in Jordan provides high-quality educational support services to underprivileged children in Hong Kong’s ethnic minority groups. The Centre focuses on Chinese language learning programs and social integration events for under-privileged ethnic minorities. The aim is to equip and encourage the students to pursue higher studies in local schools and tertiary institutions in Hong Kong. They became a FHK Charity Partner in 2018.

The Integrated Brilliant Education Trust Tutorial Centres in Jordan and Sham Shui Po provide high-quality educational support services to underprivileged children in Hong Kong’s ethnic minority groups. The Centres focus on Chinese language learning programs and social integration events for under-privileged ethnic minorities. J Life Foundation helps low income and single parent families primarily in the Sham Shiu Po area. With the help of food banks, hotels and bakeries, the charity collects surplus food and redistributes it to families in need. The charity also aims to help these disadvantages families to help themselves. They create a safe space where families can come together to share their burdens and build new relationships to create a connectedness within the community. One of the ways is to provide free tuition services for primary school children (age 6-12) of these families so that they can cope with their school work and have a better future

The Jesus Is Lord Church in Tsim Sha Tsui runs a shelter for female domestic workers in Hong Kong who have been terminated and have ongoing court cases and labour problems. The centre has 20 spaces and provides shelter for woman for up to 45 days in normal situations. There is a small charge of $15 per day which also includes 3 meals. They have been a FHK Charity Partner since 2012.

Jubilee Ministries runs a food bank to serve the poor and needy in the Kwun Tong community. The “3A Hot Meals” programme provides much needed food for street sleepers, scavengers and elderly people living alone. They run a Social Enterprise Kitchen that offers both free and paid lunch services and through a network of 19 churches, they are able to distribute hot meals to about 1,500 poor people every week. The Justice Centre Hong Kong provides free, independent, high-quality legal and social welfare assistance to asylum seekers, refugees, victims of torture and survivors of human trafficking and forced labour. Kai Tak Peace Evangelical Centre – Children, Youth and Parents Activity Centre serves the underprivileged families in To Kwa Wan district, regardless of their age, gender, nationality, and religion. Light and Love Home is a charity serving those in the Kwai Chung district, mainly the elderly and low-income families. The Neighbourhood Elderly Centre is subvented by the Social Welfare Department and has provided services in Kwai Fong Estate for over 18 years. Love Family Charity provide free meals for the elderly and low-income groups in Hong Kong and also sponsor some schools with scholarships. Mother’s Choice is a local charity based in Kwun Tong serving the many children without families and pregnant teenagers in Hong Kong. Their Child Care Home changes the life stories of children without families. They have space for up to 32 typically developing babies (Baby Care) and 12 spaces for children with special needs. New Beginnings Christian Fellowship run a Temporary Home that is not just a shelter but also a place for fellowship, study, training, and Sunday church. They are a sister organisation of Asian Baptist, serving and supporting domestic workers with food sharing, counselling, education, social services etc. When the Asian Baptist shelter is full the girls are sent New Beginnings. Together the shelters distribute surplus food and other items to those with priority needs, along with acting as airport missionaries for those who newly arrive in Hong Kong without any support. New Home Association provides one-stop professional and social services in Hong Kong for new arrivals from the Mainland, ethnic minorities and the disadvantaged in Hong Kong. They aim at enabling them to develop their full potential and to serve the community. Operation Dawn Tsing Yi Girl’s Centre provides residential drug rehabilitation and treatment. They offer a one year treatment period for female drug abusers of all ages and ethnicities. They aim to provide drug addicts with a comprehensive rehabilitation programme to eradicate their drug dependency and achieve healing for the body, soul and mind. Operation Dawn Wong Tai Sin Half Way House provides final treatment and after care to male drug abusers in order to better prepare them in returning to society and their families. There are 16 beds available for male students who have completed nine months on Dawn Island or graduated from the one-year programme. They became a FHK Charity Partner in 2012.

Operation Dawn’s Shum Shui Po Centre provides enquiry, enrolment and referral services for their rehabilitation programmes and is a venue for pre-programme activities, study groups and other gatherings. Dawn Island Gospel Drug Addiction Treatment Centre provides boarding and faith-driven treatment and rehabilitation services to male drug abusers of all ages and ethnicities for nine months out of a one-year treatment period. In July 2006, a South-Asian Ethnic Zone was officially set up on the Island, offering addiction treatment to South-Asian male students. With this, there are now three student groups on the island: the Adult Group (aged 23 and above), the Youth Group (aged 22 and below), and the South-Asian Ethnic Group (for non-Chinese). Pok Oi Hospital – Jockey Club Hostel for Single Persons is a charity providing transitional housing for single males. They prioritise support towards seniors, the homeless and those with living difficulties. The aim of the charity is to provide short to middle term accommodation, to help residents adjust well in the hostel, encourage them to develop self-confidence and prepare them for future housing planning. There are a maximum of 40 places, which are given on referral only and mainly to CSSA recipients. Five to nine residents share one flat with cooking facilities and a bathroom. They are encouraged to cook, share and help each other to adjust and move on. They have been a FHK Charity Partner since 2012.

The Principal Chan Free Tutorial World provides free learning support to underprivileged children from families with financial difficulties. They organise extra-curricular activities, talent development classes, playgroups and one to one tutorial classes. They are based in Cheung Sha Wan but have three other centres around Hong Kong. Run Hong Kong supports vulnerable refugees to rebuild their mental and physical strength, unite as a community and with the local HK community, and nurture each other through sport, food, friendship and education. They organise different sports activities, such as hiking and running, for their clients every week and provide healthy food and drinks on training days and in their office during classes and study time. Shepherd Community Centre is a Christian organisation with the core mission to reflect the Christian attitude and belief of caring for one another through appropriate actions without expecting anything in return. St James’ Settlement People’s Food Bank was set up in 2003, then in response to the growing demand for hot meal services they set up the Kowloon Central Kitchen to provide free lunch and dinner for people in need in Eastern Kowloon. Their services provide hot meals in the form of meal boxes to low income families, unemployed, street sleepers and others in need. They also organise recreational and educational programmes. They became a FHK Charity Partner in 2014.

St. James’ Settlement run the Community Economy & Social Enterprise Programme in Wanchai. The unit is a social enterprise project, providing affordable food products to the community. They also promote the production of local food by the Community Oriented Mutual Economy (COME) and Eco-Village model. They became a FHK Charity Partner in 2014.

St. Peter’s Revival Association in Yau Ma Tei organises a Sunday Pizza Party gathering every week which serves hot meal boxes and other ad-hoc items. They also run an outreach programme visiting dormitories operated by the Correction Service Department for those undergoing rehabilitation and their families. Their service users mainly include underprivileged, ex-prisoners and drug addicts. They became a FHK Charity Partner in 2018.

Their services include hot meals, rehabilitation homes, education programmes and outreach services for children, the poor, the elderly, troubled teenagers and families, and other minority groups in the territories. Street Sleepers Action Committee is a non-government subvented charitable association. They operate the member-based Community Canteen in Yau Ma Tei and also serve the community through outreach activities. Without any government support, the SSAC has made continuous efforts to ensure street sleepers’ welfare for over 30 years including material, social support as well as monitoring relevant government policies. They aim to help street sleepers return to society through care and support. They have worked tirelessly to promote the cause of street sleepers in Hong Kong raising awareness with the public, professionals and the Government of their problems and needs. The Church of United Brethren In Christ runs the Tuen Mun Integrated Children and Youth Service Centre which provides integrated services for children and youth in the community. Their service includes development services, leadership training, counselling, employment supportive services, poverty supportive services and after school programmes. They have a food market programme where they buy at a discount rate from food companies and offer for sale to families. They also hold a bread share programme twice a week for around 30 recipients. They have been a FHK Charity Partner since 2013.

The Conservancy Association established The Food Resources Recycling Centre (FRRC) in July 2013 and is currently sponsored by the Environment and Conservation Fund. The aim of the project is to reduce food waste, help people who are in need and promote Food Wise by recycling and redistributing surplus food in the community. They also organise collections at local wet markets in Kwai Tsing and Tsing Yi and educational activities for the youth. Their mission is to safeguard the environmental resources in Hong Kong, China and the world by advocating policies, monitoring government, promoting environmental education and taking a lead in community participation. They have been a FHK Charity Partner since 2017.

The Hong Kong Association of Senior Citizens serves the elderly in the Cheung Sha Wan community. Their mission is to empower seniors to help themselves and others, and contribute to society. Their various programmes include food distribution, health talks and visits to nursing homes and to seniors living alone. They became a FHK Charity Partner in 2020.

The Hong Kong Council of the Church of Christ in China operates the Family Support Centre in Tuen Mun. The charity provides various services including educational, food bank, counselling and special care services. Their Tuen Mun Centre supports families in the Tuen Mun and Tin Shui Wan districts. Originally founded in 1973 with a mission to spread the love and sincerity of Jesus Christ, the Industrial Evangelical Fellowship Limited created an emergency food assistance programme in response to Covid-19 and the effects felt by the community. Sham Shui Po Family Support Networking Team – Community Project focuses on referrals and arranges appropriate social services for Sham Shui Po residents who have welfare needs. They also help to build up a family support network for the community. They mainly target new arrivals, CSSA clients, the elderly, youths, the unemployed, those with financial hardship, and families with relationship problems. They have been a FHK charity partner since 2019.

The Samaritans is a non-profit, non-religious organisation giving confidential emotional support to people who are suicidal or in distress. They provide a 24-hours hotline that is operated by volunteers every day of the year. Their volunteers often come straight from work without rest or supper, so FHK helps with food for their volunteers to eat during their hotline services at night. They have been a FHK Charity Partner since 2014.

The Society for the Aid and Rehabilitation of Drug Abusers runs various centres, projects and services, which provide internationally renowned voluntary drug treatment and rehabilitation services to all drug abusers. Their Au Tau Youth Centre offers residential drug treatment programmes to young male drug abusers aged 25 or below. They also provide opportunities for them to learn responsibility, discipline and conformity. They have a capacity of 20 beds and provide food support to both those living in the Centre and at home. They have been a FHK Charity Partner since 2016

The Society for the Aid and Rehabilitation of Drug Abusers runs various centres, projects and services, which provide internationally renowned voluntary drug treatment and rehabilitation services to all drug abusers. The Methadone Treatment Counselling Programme offers a wide range of services, including counselling, group training and activities, and family support services to newly-registered drug abusers including those under 21 yeares of age, as well as other voluntary applicants and referred cases. This branch became a Feeding HK Charity Partner in 2020.

They run a food bank service at their Kwai Chug Centre, providing food assistance, food redistribution and home visits. They have been a FHK Charity Partner since 2016.

Tsang Pik Shan Secondary School is located in Ma On Shan. They run a Breakfast Club for students and organise social services for the community. They became a FHK Charity Partner in 2013.

Tung Fook Social Care Limited Tung Fook Resources Centre provides integrated services to help deprived and underprivileged families in Chai Wan and Siu Sai Wan. Their services include a food bank, hot meal services, home visits and family-based recreational programmes, and social network and support groups. They have been a FHK Charity Partner since 2013.

We Care Social Service Centre is a community centre that provides integrated services for seniors in the community by helping with domestic cleaning, nursing and care support and cancer patient rehabilitation support. They also help source and share second hand furniture for low-income families and seniors and provide local and overseas school counselling for underprivileged families. They have been a FHK Charity Partner since 2012.

Students and teachers at West Island School run a charity outreach programme and street sleepers support group. to help the homeless in the Sham Shui Po district. They have been a FHK Charity Partner since 2016.

The Young Men’s Christian Association of Hong Kong’s (YMCAHK) mission is to adopt an integrated, indigenous approach to identify with the hopes and aspirations of the people of Hong Kong, and work to serve the unique needs of a multilingual and multicultural community, especially those of young people. The Tung Chung Community Centre is a family community centre, which supports those in need with various programmes such as after-school activities, family support services and ethnic minority services. They also run a food sharing programme, collecting food from the wet market and redistributing it to those in need. They became a FHK Charity Partner in 2014.

Youth With A Mission Hong Kong aims to serve the local community and to tackle issues of society that affect the lives of people in Hong Kong. They connect with charity organisations, churches, and ministries in order to make people healthy emotionally, spiritually and physically. They started the YWAM Tuen Mun Food Bank in 2012 which works with 15 charities in the district. They also run programmes visiting street sleepers and cardboard collectors, engage local volunteers, conduct training and run summer camps. They have been a FHK Charity Partner since 2012.

Yuen Long Wai Kwan Centre is a charity serving local vulnerable groups including women, new migrant families, youths, children, ethnic minorities and the elderly. They provide temporary food assistance and used furniture to those in need. Their service area is mainly Yuen Long, Tin Shui Wai and the Hung Fook Estate. They became a FHK Charity Partner in 2017.
